Pesticides Cause Cancer

12

No wonder cancer rates are skyrocketing!

If there’s one thing you should spend more money on – it’s on organic fruits and vegetables.  Yes, going organic costs more, but you can’t put a price tag on you and your family’s health.  Unless of course you are fond of getting ill.  🙂

Organic food holds more minerals, vitamins and enzymes than poison method farming (intensely farmed foods). Most importantly, you aren’t eating a cocktail of noxious insecticides, pesticides, and fertilisers.

Okay, you’ve sort of convinced me, but why is organic so expensive? Shouldn’t it be cheaper?

It costs more because organic farmers don’t earn federal subsidies like conventional farmers. Yes, conventional food is cheaper, but that’s because you’re paying for them in your taxes. This pricing approach happened right after World War II in order to protect the food supply. The “caring” governments back then couldn’t bear to witness another food shortage crisis.  Come the 1950’s and voilà! The Pesticide Era is introduced with a BANG.

Also, conventional farmers spend far less money in producing their mass food production – thanks to the chemicals! They take advantage of pesticides because it increases crop yield, keeps costs down, and gets rid of pesky pests.

Organic farmers don’t have that luxury.  They work harder because it’s much more demanding than conventional farming.

At the end of the day, you pay for what you get.

Contrary to popular belief, eating pesticide laden food carries a myriad of deadly side effects — if eaten regularly, such as:

  • Cancer
  • Infertility
  • Low sperm levels
  • Sterility
  • Brain damage – affects your capacity to speak smoothly, identifying words, numbers, colours, etc.
  • Developmental obstacles in children
  • Birth Defects
  • Wheezing, chronic bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory illnesses
  • Organ failure
  • Skin rashes, athlete’s foot, ringworm and other skin irritations

2015 Pesticide Guide - VV
The good news is… There’s a light at the end of the financial tunnel!  The list above gives you the top 12 fruits and veggies that are laden with pesticide residue. So make sure to buy organic apples, spinach and so forth…I save money by buying normal avocados, pineapples, and melons.

If you’re unable to buy organic produce, don’t worry.  You can remove most of the pesticides by cleaning them properly.  Water alone won’t do it! Just be gentle with the berry family and fruits like peaches and apricots.  Place them in a colander and gently rinse the spray off.

Vegetable and Fruit Spray – 1

My grandma, mother and aunt all died from breast cancer. I’m beginning to wonder if pesticides had anything to do with it. I’m not going to take any chances and am going to start eating organic. There is a lot of evidence that proves that conventional produce is bad for you.

Americans can thank Monsanto for ruining their crops. Now GM is an issue. My advice to you is to start your own fruit and vegetable garden.

  6. Annie Hall says:

I rather go hungry than eat unorganic food.

Dear WILLIAM H. GATHERCOLE AND NORAH G,
Are you freaking kidding me? Do you really think I’m going to believe your post about pesticides being safe. LOL
Do you work for some pesticide company? Monsato? By the looks of it, the pesticides have already killed most of your brain cells for believing such crap. Peace

  10. Once upon a time …

    Once upon a time …

… Anti-Pesticide Activists CONCOCTED THE THEORY that eventually it should be possible to PROHIBIT THE USE OF PEST CONTROL PRODUCTS in the Agriculture Industry.

    Once upon a time …

… these Non-Expert Activists also ALLEGED that organic pesticide-free food was somehow a safer alternative to conventional food.

On January 29th, 2009, a review from Food Standards Agency confirmed that this ALLEGATION about Organic Food is BOGUS.

The focus of the review was the NUTRITIONAL CONTENT OF FOOD-STUFFS.

This review was PEER-REVIEWED and PUBLISHED by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The review CONFIRMED that there were NO IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES IN THE NUTRITION CONTENT, or ANY ADDITIONAL HEALTH BENEFITS, OF ORGANIC FOOD WHEN COMPARED WITH CONVENTIONALLY-PRODUCED FOOD.

The review, which took the form of a « systematic review of literature », was carried out by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine ( LSHTM ), and was commissioned by the Food Standards Agency.

LSHTM’s team of researchers, led by Dr. Alan Dangour, reviewed ALL PAPERS PUBLISHED OVER THE PAST FIFTY YEARS that related to the NUTRIENT CONTENT and HEALTH DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ORGANIC AND CONVENTIONAL FOOD.

This systematic review was THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE STUDY in this area that has been carried out to date.

Food Standards Agency commissioned this research as part of its commitment to giving consumers accurate information about their food, based on the most up-to-date science.

This research was split into two separate parts, one of which looked at differences in nutrient levels and their significance, while the other looked at the health benefits of eating organic food.

According to Dr. Alan Dangour, of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine’s Nutrition and Public Health Intervention Research Unit, and the principal author of the review ―

« A small number of differences in nutrient content were found to exist between organically and conventionally produced crops and livestock, but these are UNLIKELY TO BE OF ANY PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE. »

More, according to Dr. Alan Dangour ―

« Our review indicates that there is currently NO EVIDENCE to support the selection of organically over conventionally produced foods on the basis of nutritional superiority. »

  11. I make the vegetable & fruit spray w/ the grapefruit seed extract and keep it by the kitchen sink. ALL produce gets sprayed with this before anyone in my home eats it! Very easy to make and inexpensive. Thanks for sharing the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 list!
