Why Americans Support Trump

The Real Reasons Americans Support Trump

No matter where you live – we can all agree that the US presidential race is attracting a tremendous amount of attention, and not only from experts, but also from the political apathetic.  This is true all over the world, where the choice of the next US president can determine the future of foreign policy.

So far, the run up to the 2016 elections has been, at various times, entertaining and comical – all thanks to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.  If not for social media, we wouldn’t have seen the many Donald Trump hair memes, the Hillary for prison snaps, or we wouldn’t have known that Bernie Sanders has been given the title “Lord of Dank Memes” – dank meaning high quality, in stoner and hippie speak.

But there’s also an unamusing side to the 2016 elections.  As I’m sure you know, political posts tend to offend people – especially if you support Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.  So much so that family and friends have stopped speaking to each other.  You soon realise that pictures of children and food don’t equal shared political beliefs.

In fact, people are now engaged in cyber debates on social media, prompting all kinds of annoyed feelings and virtual tantrums.  It’s very common nowadays to find friends and family unfriending, unfollowing, blocking, or hiding their friend’s political posts from their Facebook feed because they find them disrespectuful and irritating.

Nonetheless, that’s not going to deter the politically passionate people on social media.  Instead, they have retaliated with the circulation of e-cards, such as,

“Oh, I’m sorry.  Are my politically posts bothering you?  I just figured choosing the next leader of our country was worth a little discussion.  By all means, show me another picture of your dinner.”

What we can all agree on is that there’s an intense desire to ridicule and destroy Trump.  The media is inundated with anti-Trump sentiment.  It’s actually quite humorous to see the panic coming from all of the Trump haters and the mainstream media.  It appears they hate Trump more than they like hearing the truth.

Donald Trump is obviously not perfect.  He’s not politically correct, he doesn’t sugarcoat his unprepared speeches, and he isn’t controlled by the establishment.  Yes, he’s said some foolish things in the past, but wouldn’t you much rather have a president who’s a truthful “bully” over a “people pleaser” who repeatedly lies to the American people?  That’s why he resonates with Americans, and it clearly shows that people are sick and tired of deceitful and manipulative politicians.  Americans are fed up.

The I Hate Trump brigade have asked me, “Why do you support Trump?  He’s a racist, bigot, and just another Hitler.”  Well, if you do your own independent research, and not blindly trust what the mainstream media tells you, you’ll find out that he’s none of those derogatory names.  Please understand that only six corporations control 90% of the media in the United States.  They play a key role in shaping the mindset and beliefs of the American people toward political choices, but don’t take my word for it – do your own research.

I’m sharing a letter below that explains perfectly well why many Americans support Trump.  It’ll give you insight into their thoughts, and you’ll find out why they’re not all “mentally impaired, ignorant, and stupid.”

It doesn’t matter who you support – this letter from an everyday American will open your eyes and show you what most people are feeling right now, but are too afraid to say.  I blame political correctness for turning people into cowards.  So many people care too much about what their family, friends, and even strangers think of them.

This letter by an 80-year-old has already captivated thousands.  Maybe we should go back to listening to our elders.   Regardless of who wins, this is a great time to be alive right now!  2016 is going to be a VERY interesting year – not just for the USA, but for the entire world.   Please let me know your thoughts.  I enjoy reading your comments.

Dear Representative,

From the time I was able to vote I voted Republican. I am 80-years-old, and have a great deal of respect and influence with hundreds of senior ball players who also network with thousands of others around the country.

I received your questionnaire and request for money and strongly agree with every question, as I have since Obama was elected. Unfortunately, the one question that was missing is, “What have the Republicans done for the American people?”  We gave you a majority in the House and Senate, yet you never listened to us. Now you want our money.

You should be more concerned about our votes, not our money. You are the establishment, which means all you want is to save your jobs and line your pockets… Well guess what? “It’s not going to happen” You shake in your boots when I tell you we’re giving our support to TRUMP, and he hasn’t asked for a dime.

You might think we are fools because you feel Trump is on a self destruction course, but you need to look beyond Washington and listen to the masses. Nobody has achieved what he has, especially in the liberal state of New York.

You clearly don’t understand why the Trump movement is so strong, so I’d like to share with you an analogy to help explain the Trump phenomenon. By the way, it’s not just the Republicans who feel ignored and disrespected, there are plenty of Democrats and Independents who also feel let down by the Washington elite. You seem to have forgotten about “We The People” and who hired you to represent us.

So here it is, the best analogy I could come up with.

Here is the reason so many Americans have boarded the Trump Train, and why your pleas to come back to the party who deserted us, is falling on deaf ears:

You’ve been on vacation for two weeks, you come home, and your basement is infested with raccoons. Hundreds of rabid, messy, mean raccoons have overtaken your basement. You want them gone immediately…You call the city and four different exterminators, but nobody could handle the job. There is this one guy however, who guarantees you he will get rid of them, so you hire him. You don’t care if the guy smells, you don’t care if the guy swears, you don’t care how many times he’s been married, you don’t care if he was friends with liberals, you don’t care if he has plumber’s crack…you simply want those raccoons gone! You want your problem fixed! He’s the guy. He’s the best. Period.

Here’s why we want Trump:  Yes he’s a bit of an ass, yes he’s an egomaniac, but we don’t care. The country is a mess because politicians have become too self-serving. The Republican Party is two-faced & gutless. Illegal aliens have been allowed to invade our nation. We want it all fixed! We don’t care that Trump is crude, we don’t care that he insults people, we don’t care that he had been friendly with Hillary, we don’t care that he has changed positions, we don’t care that he’s been married three times, we don’t care that he fights with Megyn Kelly and Rosie O’Donnell, we don’t care that he doesn’t know the name of some Muslim terrorist.

This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegal aliens and bringing tens of thousands of Muslim refugees to America, while leaving Christians behind to be persecuted. We are becoming a nation of victims where every Tom, Ricardo and Hasid is part of a special group with special rights, to the point where we don’t even recognize the country we were born and raised in; “AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED” and Trump is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want.

We’re sick of politicians. We’re sick of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. We just want this thing fixed. Trump may not be a saint, but he isn’t beholden to lobbyist money, and he doesn’t have political correctness restraining him. All we know is that he has been very successful, he’s an excellent negotiator, he has built a lot of things, and he’s also not a politician. He’s definitely not a cowardly politician. When he says he’ll fix it, we believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong or looked at and called a liar.

Oh yeah…I forgot…we don’t care if the guy has bad hair either.

We just want those raccoons gone.

Out of your house.

The 80 year old person who wrote this letter is absolutely right. We are fed up!!! The middle class is hurting for so many years. I like what Trump is saying and I am Asian.

  2. Marla Poole says:

We must realize that we are not battling flesh and bone but spiritual darkness and evil entities in high places (Ephesians 6:12) and only heartfelt prayer through the intercession of our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, can stop the machinations of the Enemy.

    Dear America,
Please wake up from your reveries.
I agree with you that politics and corruption are constant bed-fellows, but your dream is not the Solution.
Your view of your country is sadly out of date and fatally flawed, if that is the best analogy you can think of.
The raccoons were always there and you lived with them before you went on holiday.
The mess was always there, it didn’t happen while you were away.
The main job you think you want done now, (clearing the raccoons) is not actually possible nor even desirable any more. Most of the mess is caused by the non-raccoons, anyway.
The World has changed from when you last thought about the World.
Whether this man (Drumpf or Trump) ‘says’ he can do it or not, he will probably change his mind on election.
But then he will own your house.
Then he will start to really mess it up, big time.
Your assessment seems to be based on the summary that he is the Best.
The Best at what? Clearing Raccoons? Has he done that before? On that scale?
You see, the best prediction of how someone will behave tomorrow, is how he behaved yesterday.
So, think of every activity that Drumpf or Trump has started and for which you have independent and impartial evidence of his achievement, and ask if he was the best at any of them.
Then decide if he is the man to clear your raccoons.
I sympathise with your dilemma – we are in a similar situation across the pond in terms of selection of leading politicians.
But don’t write a blank cheque for a con-man, just because he promises to do what you want and certainly don’t pay til it’s done. He will end up taking you to the cleaners, not the raccoons.
    Yours sincerely,
